Welcome to our Children's Ministry page. We value your children as an integral part of the body of Christ here at Valley Community Chapel. That's why we make sure our children's ministries provide a safe and loving environment where your kids can LEARN God's word, EXPERIENCE the love and saving power of Jesus Christ, and have FUN at church.
First Service
Nursery Care : Infants through four year olds will be cared for by our loving volunteer nursery staff. The children will sing Bible songs, hear Bible story books, and have fun playing in our safe nursery classroom.
Children's Church: We offer children's church for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The children will learn Bible stories and life lessons through a fast paced hands-on approach to group learning.
Second Service
Nursery Care : We provide nursery care for infants and toddlers up to 3 years old. Our loving nursery staff will care for your infant and read and play with your toddler.
Faith Trek Sunday School: Our Faith Trek is divided into three developmental groups
- Scouts (Preschool & Kindergarten) A "scout" is a person who goes out to find information.
- Trackers (1st-2nd grades) A "tracker" is a person who pursues or follows the evidence in order to discover the truth.
- Climbers (3rd-4th grades) A "climber" is a person who keeps going up until they get to the top.
- Bereans (5th-th grades) "One who searches the scriptures."
Scouts class (Preschool & Kindergarten): Because young children learn best by experiencing new ideas and concepts, by touching, tasting, smelling, hearing and seeing, our Scouts will be discovering information about Jesus through their five senses with a fun, interactive hands-on curriculum.
Trackers and Climbers: These 2 groups will enjoy the active learning of our rotation workshop based Sunday School. Students learn the same Bible story all month long, but in a variety of different workshops. For example, when we studied David and Goliath, one week the Trackers made clay statues of young David in the art workshop, and the Climbers were in the cooking workshop where celery became a river, cream cheese became sand, and raisins became the rocks that slew the giant. The next week the groups rotated and learned the story from another point of view. By the end of the month, kids of all ages really understood that David's faith in God was the real "rock" that conquered Goliath!
Bereans: Dig into God's word for a deeper look at what the scripture teaches.
